Configuration details for the Google Ads integration.

Setup

Use OAuth to connect Google Ads by navigating to Destinations > Create New > Google Ads.

First click "Connect a Google Ads account", log in with your Google account, and click "Allow". You should then see this message in the hightouch UI:

Then you will have to provide your Ad Account ID (and optionally your Manager Account ID):

Depending on whether you are logged into a Manager account or a normal account. If you're logged into a normal account, your UI will look like this, and you can grab the Account ID from the top right next to your profile picture:

If you're logged into a Manager account, your UI will look like this, and you can grab the Account ID next to the account name on the top left of the Google Ads UI, and the Manager Account ID from the top right next to your profile picture:

Customer Match User List

The customer match user list function creates a customer list for the Customer Match Feature. Segments in Google Ads are automatically created based on the name of the Hightouch model.

Hightouch to Google Ads Field Mappings

These mappings allow you to map columns of your query result to the default fields in the Customer List. At least one field is required to be mapped, most commonly email.

Note that the customer list may take up to 12 hours to be created in Google Ads. This is a limitation of the Google Ads API.

Click Conversions

The click conversions function sends click conversion tracking data from your SQL results to Google Ads based on the conversion tracking ID.

This is the specific customer action that you've defined as valuable to your business in the Google Ads UI.

Hightouch to Google Ads Field Mappings

These mappings allow you to map columns of your query result to the default fields in the Customer List. The GLID and Conversion time fields are required to be mapped.
